Ruby Street had her 1st start at Ararat today in a Maiden over 1100m and scored a comfortable win. She was very green in run and was a bit of a handful for jockey John Allen but his experience came to the fore and he handled her beautifully. He settled her last in the run and circled the field coming to the corner and rounded the field up with relative ease to win. Trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace have handled her with care and been patient with her as they have always thought she could gallop and today she rewarded them with an impressive win. Another home bred winner for us.
