A month ago we decided to send our consistent Victorian mare Royal Signal to Darwin targeting a race on Darwin Cup Day. We sent her to the care Darwin based trainer Jason Manning who was having good success with another horse we sold to Darwin a year earlier in Bon’s Pride. Jason advised that today’s BM58 over 1200m would be a good target and would be a suitable option so our ownership group went for it. She arrived in Darwin just 3 week ago and today she stormed home to secure an outstanding win. Got to love it when a plan comes together! Big thanks to Jason Manning and jockey Vanessa Arnott for making it happen. On the strength of that she will be winning more in the Territory. A good day for Jason as Bon’s Pride also got up to win giving him jock a double on Cup Day.
