Crimson Ace secured her future at stud by running 2nd in the Listed Centaurea Stakes at Morphettville today. Even though the winner had a fair margin on her she had the rest of the field well covered. We don’t know how it did but in form SA jockey Jason Holder had her one out 2 back in the run from the widest gate when the field settled. That’s the closest she’s been in the run for a very long time. A piece of riding genius. TheĀ Busuttin team applied the blinkers for the 1st time and she certainly seemed much more focused in the run. Nice training ploy on there behalf. She’ll head back to Melbourne tomorrow and hopefully get back in the winners stall after that great run. She loves a wet track and Winter has arrived. Another stakes placed horse bred by the team at Ken King Thoroughbreds.
