BLANKFIELD after a promising 1st campaign where he had four placed efforts from four starts returned to the track after a short break to pick of his Maiden win. It wasn’t pretty, the field was decimated with scratching’s after the track was downgraded to a heavy 8 and BLANKFIELD’s jockey JAMIE MOTT said he never really handled it at all, it was just his class that got the job done.
The BLUE POINT 3YO gelding out of top quality broodmare TREASURE ISLAND developing a very consistent track record with a win and four placings from just his 5 career starts.
TREASURE ISLAND has previously produced G2 winner and G1 placed BONS A PEARLA and the ever consistent 5 time winner Bons To Riches.
If he’s half as good as them we are going to have some fun going forward.
