After a promising 1st campaign where he had four placed efforts from four starts Blankfield returned to the track after a short break to pick of his Maiden win. It wasn’t pretty, the field was decimated with scratching’s after the track was downgraded to a heavy 8 and Blankfield’s jockey Jamie Mott said he never really handled it at all, it was just his class that got the job done. He is developing a very consistent track record with a win and four placings from just his 5 career starts. He’s a Blue Point 3YO gelding out of our quality broodmare Treasure island who has previously produced G2 winner and G1 placed BONS A PEARLA and the ever consistent 5 time winner Bons To Riches. If he’s half as good as them we are going to have some fun going forward. Thanks to trainer Alex Rae and his team, another Ken King bred winner!
