Melba Storm went to Morphettville for new stable Tom Dabernig and brought up her 6th win from just 14 starts. The mare has had issues but when she’s sound she’s very good. She looks to be enjoying Tom’s beach training set up and has a spring to her step at the moment. It was a good field she lined up against, she jumped well for jockey Barend Vorster and sat outside the leader in the run over the 1250m. After straightening Barend released the brakes and she was off for a comfortable 1.5L win. She will return to Melbourne to resume her racing for the Spring with some black type targets ahead of her. The team can’t wait.
