Multiple Stakes winner BONS AWAY has been retired by his connections. The 7yo gelding by BON HOFFA has been a grand old warrior for his owners completing at the highest level over his career. His 37 starts have produced 6 wins and 10 minor placings and nearly $600k in prize money. His Managing owner and breeder Ken King said he had taken his owners to all the great Carnival days on the Victorian Racing Calendar and been narrowly defeated in G1’s such as Oakleigh Plate and Moir Stakes. His trademark get back and booming finishes were thrilling too watch. He has never quite been the same since a serious bleed late last season and now deserves his time in the sun.
