The full sister to stakes winner BONS AWAY and stakes placed STREET ICON, Bons Abroad gets her 1st Metro win on the board at Sandown today over the short course of 1000m. It was her 1st time at the trip and she demonstrated she’s like the rest of the family a sit back run on talented sprinter. Champion jockey Damien Oliver rode her perfectly having her well placed mid field in the run, brought her to the centre of the track as they entered the straight and she steamed home to win with ease. The way she won today might just have her on the way to emulate her well performed relatives. Great training effort by Kevin Corstens who took over the reigns this prep, never easy to take on a horse after they have been in a big stable but he demonstrated today he’s well up to the task and a trainer to be reckoned with.
