The Last Charge jumped and led all the way at Bendigo today in a 2YO Handicap over 1100m. Jockey Beau Mertens was positive from his mid field draw and bounced him to the front setting a strong tempo throughout, the challenges came at the 200m mark but he held them out in with a gutsy effort to hold on and win. He is the only progeny of Late Charge who we bred and raced and sent to stud. Unfortunately Late Charge proved infertile only got three mares in foal with only one surviving to get to the races, our little star The Last Charge. The mare who we also bred Elite Vision has now produced three 2YO individual winners. Trainer Kevin Corstens and his team are producing great results for our owners and we are delighted to have horses in his up and coming stable. Another Ken King bred winner.
