Bons Away continued his sound form at G2 level on Saturday with a close 3rd in the Caulfield Sprint over 1000m. Travelled well in the run but had to be held up in the straight looking for a way through the field. When the run finally came and he got the gap the bird had flown. The impeded run and the 4kg advantage the two in front of him had just made it too hard for him to reel them in before the post. He’s racing with great heart and with an ounce of luck will win one of these races over the Carnival.
