Lightly raced 3yo Kuroshio gelding Oceanic Drift led all the way at Mornington today to break thorough and wins his Maiden over 1000m. It was just what the doctor ordered after yesterday’s drama with local fires in the area of our farm in Euroa and has lifted our spirits today. The Wendy Kelly trained horse was gelded after his 1st prep and has come back much more focused. He’s a real bold front running type that had his rivals off the bit on the corner. The short priced favourite charged home late but our horse held him comfortable to win ob over a length. Jockey Martin Harley has now ridden our last two winners and we will be disappointing when he returns to Ireland in February. Another Ken King bred winner

Oceanic Drift ridden by M Harley wins the The Big Screen Company Plate at Mornington Racecourse on January 05, 2020 in Mornington, Australia. (Brett Holburt/Racing Photos)
