Bons A Pearla headed to Sandown today in a 3YO Fillies Maiden over 1400m and saluted with an impressive win. The Super Vobis and Vobis Gold race which she was qualified for was a great way to kick of her winning ways. It was a handy field with a few Spring hopefuls going around but she proved too classy for them. We have known from her 1st two starts over 1200m that she could reel off some great sectionals but had got back too far to run the leaders down. Today jockey Jason Maskiell had her much closer to the speed settling 5th back peeled her out when they balanced up in straight and she demonstrated that electric turn off foot to overtake those in front and run away for comfortable win on the line. Big thankyou to the Kevin Corstens team and Jason for a great ride. If she comes through the run well she might just get a crack at a nice race in the Spring. Another Ken King bred winner
