Bons Abroad has become the 3rd progeny of dam Villa Albani to earn black type after her luckless 3rd in the G3 Bow Mistress Stakes for Fillies and Mares at Hobart over the weekend. She now joins her full brother BONS AWAY a multiple stakes winning gelding and Street Icon a multiple stakes placed mare all by Villa Albani. Thanks to the team at Kevin Corstens racing who set the mare for the race to specifically target black type, job done although she was stiff not to win but that placing has secured her future in the breeding barn as a valuable broodmare on retirement. She ran well enough to suggest a black type win might not be too far away. Another Ken King bred stakes performed horse!
