BONS A PEARLA runs 2nd in the G3 Alexandra Stakes at Moonee Valley overnight. Set a task again from the widest gate so Brett Prebble had no choice to go back and settle at rear of field. Got on the back of the favorite in the three wide lane but it was not going anywhere so jock had no choice but to start his run early. As in her previous run in the G1 Australian Guineas she ran home in the fastest sectionals for the 1200, 1000, 800 and 600m but just had too do too much work to hold on. The eventual winner had a soft run on the fence behind speed did no work and that was the difference as the race before. Kevin Corstens has got her flying just needs to draw a gate and another win is around the corner. Another Ken King bred stakes performance now 58 top 3 stakes finishes for the team.
