Ruby Ruby returned from a long injury forced break in great fashion at Flemington today, ripping home from near last a furlong mark to blow away her opposition with a sustained burst of speed. It was the Street Boss’s mare 1st time down the straight but she handled it with ease. She’s lightly raced but is building a good record with 3 wins from her 10 starts. The mare setbacks might come into her favor as she’s had plenty of time to develop and mature and hasn’t been over raced, might be a nice race in her this Spring. Apprentice Matt Cartwright had a lucky pick up ride when regular jock Teo Nugent had been stood down because a potential COVID issue at Ballarat and took full advantage giving her the perfect run. Another winner for us with the Kevin Corstens team that’s 3 in town for the month. AND YES another Ken King Bred winner!
