Melba Storm brings up her 2nd win for the preparation at a mid week meeting at Bendigo against her 3yo rivals in a BM64 over 1100m. The race looked to have good depth about it but Melba was down in class after running tat Stakes level previously and had a little bit too much class for them. She jumped cleanly from the gates and bounced to the front where Willy Pike rated her beautifully to lead them up, kicked her clear on turning, put a margin on the field and then eased down to win by a length. Super Vobis and Vobis Gold were on offer and our filly was qualified to grab all the extra spoils. She’s been up for some time but the Busuttin Racing team have kept her ticking over nicely and all reports are she came through todays effort well. We might have another crack at black type with her next start.
