Fast Cash certainly lived up to his name with his dominant debut win at Swan Hill.
The two-year-old was a $10,000 purchase at the 2013 Inglis VOBIS Gold yearling Sale but returned that amount with interest when he won the Murray Downs 2YO Maiden Plate (979m).
Fast Cash began moderately but mustered sufficient pace to allow jockey Daniel Moor to park the son of Charge Forward behind the leaders.
The youngster travelled kindly for Moor entering the straight before Fast Cash dashed clear over the final furlong to score by four lengths.
Moor said Fast Cash had enough improvement to suggest he would improve quickly as he gained experience.
“I know we are at Swan Hill but he might be pretty smart this horse,” Moor said.
“He quickened twice, which is hard for a young horse to do and it’s hard to do at Swan Hill because it has such a long run in.
“You have to be impressed with him when he let go.
“It was quite soft the win and I was happy to help him got through his gears but if he had another horse going with him, he will probably run a better time.”
Fast Cash is yet another promising galloper syndicated by Ken King Thoroughbreds.
